We are straight across the street from Sterling BMW. White Building with blue awning. After you park in the parking garage below the building. Walk up covered blue awning stairs in front of the building. When you reach the top we are the second office on the left side of the outside of the building.
Is the boat easy to drive?
The boat is very easy to drive. Even if you don’t have any boating experience it is very easy to maneuver. We will go over all the controls of the boat and answer any questions that you may have prior to departure.
What is the speed limit in the harbor?
There is a 5 MPH no wake limit in the harbor. If you see a wake behind your boat ---- slow down. You are fully responsible if you get a ticket for any reason.
What are your hours of Operation?
We rent our boats from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
How old do you have to be to rent the boat?
We require that you have to be 21 years of age or older with a valid drivers license and credit card.
How many people fit on a Newport Pontoon & how big are they?
Our boats range in sizes from 19' to 26' and 8 1/2 feet wide. Some or our boats are rated for up to 15 people. However, it is a coastguard law that limits it to 12 people if you rent a boat and drive it yourself. We have larger boats to ensure you have plenty of room for your enjoyment. You are able to stand up walk around and enjoy everybody’s company on the boat with 12 people in your group. Our boats are the newest and largest to rent in Newport Harbor allowing more room for comfort and for fun.
Can I consume alcohol on the boat?
It is legal for guests 21 or over to consume alcohol on a boat. It is illegal to operate a boat/vehicle under the influence of alcohol or any drugs. Be aware marine patrol can and will pull the driver over if caught drinking.
Are you required to wear a life jacket?
We provide life Jackets and all other safety equipment on the boats. Children 12 and under are required to wear a life jacket at all times. We have children’s life jackets for your use. If you have an infant we also have infant life vests on hand. If the infant is in a baby carriage or car seat they are not required to have on a life vest. All adult life jackets and flotation devices are under the front seats of the boat. Newport Pontoon believes in providing the safest boating experience possible for all its customers.
Do you have parking?
We have 4 levels of parking below the building for ease of access. Our office is located on the second floor. Just take the elevator from the parking garage to the second floor and we are located on the left side of the building (Suite 222B)
Can we listen to music on the boat?
Our boats are equipped with a radio that has i-pod connection. We provide the connection cord for the i-pod. The harbor has many boats and houses on it. Please be respectful to all others on the harbor by not playing your music to loud. Please remember there are residences located throughout the harbor and they may not want to hear your music.
How do I make reservations?
You can reserve by calling us directly (949-631-3333). Your reservation can then be secured by a credit card. You decide at that time how many hours you want to rent the boat.
What if my plans change and I need to cancel my reservation?
There is a 48 Hour cancellation policy on regular reservations. We require 7 day cancellation on Captained Charters, Holidays and boat parade. Additionally, If more than 1 boat is reserved for a large party we need 7 days cancellation. You must cancel per this policy, otherwise your card will be charged for the full amount.
What if I bring the boat back in early?
There are no refunds even if the boat is returned early.
What if I return the boat late?
Your credit card is kept on file for security purposes for potential loss or damage to the boats, extra clean up required and for late returns. The boats are thoroughly inspected prior to each reservation and when each reservation is returned. If there is damage to the boat the credit card on file will be charged for that damage at Newport Pontoons Discretion. If repair is required you will be responsible for the repair plus down time of that repair for every hour the boat can not be rented while the repair is being done. In the event of a late return the card is subject to late fees double the standard rental rates rounded up to the next hour. Extra clean up charge may be required at the sole discretion of Newport Pontoons. These charges are non-negotiable.
Do you have refreshments available?
Yes. Please review our refreshments tab on the web site. We have sodas, water, ice, and snacks available on site.
Can we remove the top?
Our boats can be ordered with the top down. However, due to the difficulty of putting the tops up and down we do not allow the customer to do this. The tops have to stay the way they were ordered.
When Do I need to arrive?
We recommend your entire party arrive 30 minutes prior to your reservation time. This will allow you time to check in, get refreshments if needed, and receive instructions on the operation of the boat.
I Found a coupon/special rate on line. When can I use this and are there any limitation?
Any customer that has a coupon or found a special rate online are as important to us as any customer paying full rate. However, there are some limitation on these types of items. All Major Holidays including Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Cinco de Mayo, St. Patricks Day, Memorial & Labor Day. Please note that if the holiday falls on a Friday or Monday the weekend will also be restricted. The week of Fourth of July is a Blackout period along with the Christmas Boat Parade.
Some coupons require if your reservation exceeds a certain time of the day an additional hour is required at normal rates. This usually is near sunset hours. Be sure to read the coupon limitations prior to purchasing or call us with these questions prior to purchasing.
In addition, coupons and special rates are subject to availability. We do only except a certain amount of coupons per day. If we have reached our full capacity on coupons for a certain day it is best to have a second or even a third date and time in mind to ensure you get a reservation scheduled prior to the coupon expiring.
